Richard S Young

Richard Stanley Young, 87 died Friday August 18, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family.  Richard was born August 24, 1929 in Altoona, Pennsylvania, and proudly served in the U.S. Marines from 1946-1952.  He is survived by his wife of more than 64 years, Marlene, his daughters Laura (Ed) Pingston, Michelle Renee, and Joyce (Juan) Riquelme, and his grandchildren Daniel (Dawn) Pingston, Jennifer ( Justin) Morgan, Jeff Burton, Katherine (James) Rozewski Cary, Arielle Young, and Bailey Young.  He was predeceased  by his son, Scott Richard Young, and his granddaughter, Victoria Pingston. He was a member of the IRC Methodist Church.  The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Thursday at North Brevard Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Friday at IRC Methodist Church.  He will be buried with military honors in Cape Canaveral National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of St Francis, 1250 B Grumman PL Titusville, FL.  Special thanks to the home care staff of the VA and Hospice of St Francis for tremendous support and care during his illness.
