We had the honorable pleasure of knowing Robert, both as a terrific friend and a coworker through Martin Marietta then later, Lockheed Martin. Robert will truly be missed by so many. Robert was always the guy that brought the sunshine with him were ever he went! Robert was highly respected, so kind and thoughtful, proud father, great friend and so much more... Robert's memory will continue to be carried on by those that he met and touched with his huge smile and sparkling personality. Robert will always be in our hearts and by reliving the memories that were created with Robert. Robert absolutely brightened everyone's day! May God Bless you and may you rest in peace our dear friend. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Kern family and friends, may God ease your pain and comfort you during this difficult time.

Robert was a good friend of mine that I met through working at the Cape. Robert and I went to a Rockies game in Denver and had a blast. Just got to see him on Sunday, October 8th at the Tiki Bar and he was his usual self, happy, fun and glad to see an old friend. May he rest in peace!

How lucky we are to have known someone who was so hard to say good-bye to.
Bobo never met a stranger. his heart was larger than he was.

Robert immediately took me under his wing and befriended me as a complete stranger; living out of a hotel room, entering a new life adventure at the PRF. Completely alone and friendless, at the age of 24, I found a new home in his gracious and gregarious friendship; leading me to some of the most wonderful years of my life - because of Robert.

To the Family.....I have only known Robert for about 11 years. Over that time I came to know him as a trustworthy, kind and caring person. After seeing all of the love and comments from so many people these past few days, I have come to a conclusion. I hope that I might be able to leave this good of an impression on so many people in my life as Robert has. He will be greatly missed but it has been a blessing to have known him. A good friend and fantastic person, he lit up any room he entered. We had many a good times together through the years with friends and family.
