Carol married my dad in the late 1970's and was my stepmother for all those years. She was the best "thing" that ever happened to my dad and I will be eternally grateful that she made him as happy as she did.
Carol opened her heart and home to my brothers and me... which could be quite a trial at times.
Three years ago before she lost her eyesight, she pestered me for some of my favorite pictures. And I mean Pestered me and I finally sent them. I found out why she wanted them. She sent me a beautiful quilt with some of my favorites, and a couple of hers, pictures printed directly on the quilt. I cried when I opened the box and saw the quilt. This quilt will be a prized possessions for the rest of my life.
Rest in Peace Mom. You were never the same after Dad died. You are together again. Give Jillian a hug for all of us. We sure do miss her.
