Wortham L Heard

Wortham L. Heard, 82, of Titusville went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 21, 2021. Wortham was born on March 25, 1938 to the late Charles and Mabel Heard in Roanoke, AL. Wortham was a dedicated teacher in the Titusville community for over forty years; teaching math at Jackson Middle School and Astronaut High School. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Titusville, and former member of New Fellowship Baptist church, and Park Avenue Baptist Church. He enjoyed photography, singing, especially in a gospel quartet, reading his Bible, and gardening. But, most of all he enjoyed his time as a loving husband, father, and Papa. Other than his parents, Wortham is preceded in death by his brothers Charles and Lee Heard. He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of fifty-three years, Marian; sons Perry (Liz) Heard, Eric Heard, and Matthew (Jamie) Heard; grandchildren Bailey, James, Seth, Lindsey, Jovanka; brother Phillip (Shirley) Heard. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at First Baptist Church, Titusville from 10-11 with a funeral at 11AM. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
