Wayne Edward Morse Sr, 68, went to be with the Lord on April 13, 2021. Wayne was born on October 30, 1952 to the late Barbara and Edward Morse in Long Beach, California. He graduated from Colonial High School and married the love of his life, Pam shortly after in 1973. During their 48 years of marriage, they were blessed with two sons, Wayne and Aaron.
Wayne had an intellect and skill set that led him to a lengthy career at the Kennedy Space Center that spanned nearly four decades. His tenure at the KSC involved him in the duration of NASA’s Space Shuttle Program, the launch of the Ares 1-X Test Vehicle of the Constellation Program and the design and development of the current Artemis program that will put men and women back on the moon. His ability to perform his job as an accomplished Network Engineer allowed him to personally conceive, design and implement the network foundation that will allow the Artemis Program to not just launch the Space Launch System, but to achieve all its program goals and take humans back to the moon and beyond. His contributions to the American Space Program cannot be realized in just the numerous awards he has been given, but in the admiration and respect of all his peers that he has worked with for so long.
Wayne is survived by his sons, Wayne Morse Jr (Brittney) and Aaron Morse (Nicole). His grandchildren Caitlynn, Harrison, Adalind and Everleigh. His Brothers Mike (Denny), Randy, Kirk (Pam) and Kenny Morse. He is preceded in death by his Wife, Pam Morse whom he shared 48 wonderful years with, following her to the lord 2 months later.
