Virginia "Ginny" Millsaps went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 12, 2018. Born September 11, 1920, she grew up in Sirmans, FL.  Although she had a rough childhood, she made her way to Jacksonville and landed a job with Southern Bell in 1945, then landed a dream job for the Atlantic Coastline Railroad making $26.00 a week shortly thereafter. It was while working for the railroad that she met Tom, the love of her life. They married on December 1st, 1950. Tom had left the railroad to work for Southern Bell, but when he was hired by NASA in 1962 as a Communications Engineer, they moved to Titusville where Ginny was a stay at home housewife and mother to her three children, Mary, Kathy, and Tommy. She received training as a beautician and managed Augie's Beauty Salon for several years. As their relationship with the Lord grew, she and Tom felt called to start the Lighthouse Christian Bookstore, which later became Operation Lighthouse, a ministry for the needy. It is known today as The Walk About Ministry. There they led addicts and outcasts to repentance, forgiveness, hope, and new lives in Christ Jesus. Ginny became an ordained minister and founded the New Testament Fellowship, a non-denominational spirit filled fellowship of Christian believers. She preached the gospel to all and led many to receive Christ as their Lord and Savior. She was a "Point of Light" and received recognition as such in a letter from President Ronald Reagan in 1983 that stated "I am pleased to extend my personal congratulations and commendation to you for your generous voluntary contributions to your community. Your involvement exemplifies the highest tradition of service to others and enhances the lives of all our citizens. "Ginny was preceded in death by her husband Tom, all of her siblings, and a great-grandson. She is survived by her 3 children Mary Moschler, Katherine Blackwell, and Thomas (Jane) Millsaps; 8 grand-children and 7 great-grandchildren.  Visitation will be held on Friday, January 19th at 1:00 with the service following at 2:00 at the North Brevard Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Walk-About Ministry, 112 Brown Ave, Titusville, FL 32796 in memory of Ginny. Condolences may be shared at NBFH.
