Obituary

Udienza Olivo, 87, passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born to the late Pietro and Rosalia Petralia in Partana, Sicily, on August 6, 1933. She came to Ellis Island with her parents in July 1954 to become an American citizen. Udienza returned to Sicily to marry her true love, Giuseppe Olivo, on February 12, 1955, in a double wedding with her sister, Anna, then returned to America. Originally they resided in Brooklyn, New York but then moved to Long Island to raise their children, always remaining near her parents and siblings. Udienza had a factory, Produce Market and a Restaurant. She was a very hard working, smart businesswoman who loved her family very much.

Udienza moved to Palm Bay, Florida to be near her parents and family in 1981. Udienza and her husband, Giuseppe, opened "Valentino’s Pizza & Restaurant" in Titusville that same year, where her sons continue to operate. After commuting for a year, they purchased a home in Titusville where they still live. They continued to raise their children, and have always been surrounded by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Udienza’s hobbies was first her family, then cooking and feeding people and of course fishing! She had a deep love for her family, she always said,“better to be rich with blood rather than money”. She loved to feed everyone! Udienza is a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church.

Udienza is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Giuseppe; Sons: Joseph (Ronda) Olivo and Peter (Angela) Olivo; Daughters Clara (Sergio) Espinosa and Rosalia (Giovanni) Giambanco; Grandchildren: Joseph (Sarah) Olivo, Lucas (fiancé Jaqlyn) Olivo, Cara Olivo, Angela Olivo, Udienza (Josh) Reece, Pietro Olivo, Francesco Olivo, Giuseppe Olivo, Salvatore Pirrone, Fortunate (Jack) Hansen, Udienza Pirrone,  Anthony (Lauren) Giambanco, Rosalia (Billy) McMillan; Great grandchildren:  Leyton, Colton, Brantley, Francesco, Abby, Giovanni, Matteo, Gian Marco, Sofia, Giustiza, Jack and Luke; Brother, Salvatore Petralia; Sisters: Francesca Gullo and Anna Bianco.

Udienza was predeceased by her parents, Pietro and Rosalia Petralia; Brothers: Vito Petralia, Vincenzo Petralia, Paul Petralia; Sisters: Vincenzina Distefano, Maria Ancona and Margarita Bonanno.

There will be a visitation at North Brevard Funeral Home on Sunday, April 11, 2021 between the hours of 3 to 5 pm and a Funeral Mass on Monday, April 12th at 12 pm at St. Teresa's Catholic Church.
