Theresa E Johnson

Theresa Eileen Johnson of Titusville, FL, took her last breath on June 1, 2023 in hospice care, after a difficult battle with pulmonary fibrosis.
Theresa was born on October 29, 1951 in Fort Lauderdale, FL, to parents John "JC" and Mary "Maggie" Tidmore. She graduated from Titusville High School. Theresa was known for her class and generosity. She was the wife of former Mayor Walt Johnson, and they would have celebrated 42 years of marriage this month. Theresa enjoyed cooking for her family & friends, traveling, hosting parties & holiday celebrations. She especially loved spoiling her grandchildren. She was an avid theater goer & angel member of the Titusville Playhouse.
Theresa is survived by her loving husband Walter; their son Brent and his wife Jordan; her daughter Laura and husband Adam; son Brad, wife Brandi; former daughter-in-law Kim; and sisters, Linda and Jackie. She is deeply mourned by her pride & joy, her beloved grandchildren, that she adored more than anything; Seth, Zachary & Justin, Mia, Brooke and Hailee. Most of her family were gathered round her bedside in her final hours as she hosted her last family gathering & said her final goodbyes before she peacefully passed away in the very same hospice room as her best friend, Pat Matroni (they are most likely playing slots together forever now!) 

A memorial service for Theresa will be held on Friday, June 9th at 3pm at North Brevard Funeral Home in Titusville. Family and friends are invited to express their condolences or honor Theresa's memory with donations to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or Titusville Playhouse, in lieu of flowers.
