Terence Tex Short

Terence Short, 67, of Titusville, FL., passed away peacefully on November 17, 2023.  He was born February 14, 1956 to late Jack and Charlotte Short in Portsmouth, VA.  “Tex” as he was loving called by family and friends, leaves behind his wife of 48 years, Janis Short, his son Nicholas Short,  a daughter Heather Griffin, 2 grandchildren Molly & Reece Griffin and 3 sisters, Christine Short, Siobhan Wright, Monica Fee.

Tex was active duty USMC from 1971-1975 as a jet engine mechanic which turned into a love affair for jets, planes and all things flying. Tex’s life encompassed accomplished careers at GSA from 1984-1994 as a Chief Negotiator for the A.F.G.E. union and as part of Metro-pool maintenance. In 1994 he worked for Sea Ray in the PD&E plant as laminator & Fabricator until 2000 when he and his family relocated to the Florida Keys.  He loved life on the water and Keys living until 2013 when they returned to Titusville to care for family. 

Throughout his lifetime, Tex enjoyed being outdoors, but most of all, he enjoyed his time as a loving husband, father, brother and friend to many.
