Teddy Neil Heldreth of Titusville, FL passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 20, 2024.  He was born on September 18, 1949, in Bluefield, Virginia to Allen Clifford and Mary Lucille Heldreth.  One of eight siblings, Ted spent his early years in Bluefield before being drafted into the US Army and eventually settling in Titusville, Florida where he met his wife, Doris Lane Heldreth.

After his retirement from Florida East Coast Railroad, Ted could often  be found watching the world go by from his garage recliner, enjoying his favorite meal at Cracker Barrel, or burning up the road on his beloved Harley.  He loved being a Papa to his three grandchildren and lived life wide open, never meeting a stranger and always ready with a wisecrack or colorful joke.  Ted chose to be an organ donor and it is our prayer that through our loss other families can experience hope.

Ted will be remembered by his wife, Doris Lane Heldreth, of Titusville, FL; daughter Teresa Williams and husband Matthew of Jacksonville, FL; son Micheal Heldreth and wife Kindra of Zephyrhills, FL; and his grandchildren Josh Falls, Bella Johnson, and Adaline Heldreth.

He is also survived by his sisters, Melba Williams of Hillsville, VA and Rita Bishop of Falls Mills, VA and brothers  Bill (Carla) Heldreth of Bland, VA, Bob (Linda) Heldreth of Princeton, WV, and Jimmy Heldreth (Emma) of Scottsmoor, FL,  and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents and his brothers Danny Heldreth of Scottsmoor, FL, and Tommy Heldreth of Titusville FL.

A viewing will be held 10:00 am, Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at Way of Life Baptist Church in Titusville with a memorial service to immediately follow at 11:00 am.  He will be laid to rest on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, FL.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ted’s name to The US Veteran’s Motorcycle Club at
