Obituary

Scotty Ray Cline, 74, entered into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, December 2,2022 at Advent Health Hospital Orlando, Florida.

Scotty was born in E. St. Louis, Ill, to the late William Everett and Lola Scott Cline on March 23, 1948. He was raised in Arcola, Ill until he joined the Air Force in 1967. He was an aircraft mechanic and joined the reserves after his honorable discharge from 4 years active duty.

While working in the ART program (Air reserve technician) for 10 years at the Charleston AFB in Charleston, South Carolina, he then accepted a position with NASA in 1989 with the Quality Assurance Program. He was employed with NASA until his retirement in 2006, as Branch Chief over the NASA Quality Division.

Scotty was a hard working and diligent man who loved his family and his country. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Jan. He has 3

children: Son,Thomas Everett Cline (Rosanna) Daughters Tara Ann Cline Larson (Larry)and Sarah Elizabeth Cline Mossor (Jerry) Grandchildren: Tyler, Alan Kaitlyn, Christian, Hannah and Logan.

He was a loving brother to his siblings, Robert Lynn Cline (Marilyn) Donna Jo Phipps(Steve) Alex B Cline (April) and his deceased brother, Carl Dean Cline.

Scotty was a hard working and very diligent man. He loved being outdoors and especially working in the yard. He and Jan would plan together what would be enjoyable and attract wildlife to their yard and he would create it. He enjoyed helping his neighbors with any projects they needed help with and the fellowship that provided. He was learning the game of golf and was playing as much as he could. He really enjoyed the fellowship of the friends he met while doing this.

Scotty and Jan are members of First Baptist Church of Mims. They have such a sweet family of brothers and sisters in Christ. Pastor Pat and his wife, Katrella are such a blessing and have prayed over Scotty numerous times while he was going through his battle with cancer, as well as the whole church.

He loved his church family.

Scotty loved his grandchildren and was so proud of each one of them. He loved spending quality time with them and also taught a few of them how to drive, shoot a gun, fix anything that was broken and shared a wealth of knowledge. He loved them so.

Most importantly, He made a decision to accept the Lord as his Savior recently and we know now he is in Heaven with Him. We who have accepted Jesus Christ into our hearts will be with him again someday.

Honey, (Dad ,Papa), you are truly loved and will be greatly missed; but we know that we will be rejoined again someday and there will be no more tears or pain there. "Until we meet again!"
