July 25, 1975 ~ June 24, 2022 (age 46) 46 Years Old

Obituary

Samuel Guy Moody, age 46, departed from this life peacefully on Friday, June 24, 2022, in Titusville, Florida. He was born July 25, 1975, in Dunn, North Carolina. He spent most of his young life in Puerto Rico before coming to Titusville. Samuel, which went by Sammy, was full of life, love, and laughter. Sammy was a loving father to his daughters, Hillary Marie Moody and Joyce Marie Moody; a son to his parents, Timothy Wayne Moody and Ruth Mendez; a brother to Miguel Gilberto Moody and Glenn Thomas Moody, and a generous friend to those he knew. Sammy loved his family, but his “Ma” he held in the deepest parts of his heart. Whenever he needed anything, he knew that his mother’s love would never fail him. Sammy also leaves behind nieces and nephews that will always remember the fun, Tio Sammy. They will hold on to the memories of their fun adventures when he would babysit them. They will remember the times when he would get them whatever they wanted, even if it broke the rules. Sammy leaves behind his cousin Raul that would babysit Sammy and his brothers when they were younger and even times when they got older. Sammy would joke, “He would always be their babysitter“. Apart from that, Sammy had a bond with his brothers that was unending. He loved hanging out and talking with them about life, the kids , sports, or even the newest Yankees hat. Anyone who knew him saw that he had impeccable style. Appearance was important to him. You would never see him in dirty shoes or wrinkled shirts. Sammy was a tradesman with many skills that always prided himself on being a hard worker. Aside from being a family-oriented man, Sammy dedicated many days to relaxing at the beach. The beach was his favorite place to be. He loved nature and had the greenest thumb in the family. Sammy could breathe life into any plant. Not only could he nurture plants, but he could cook very well. Traits he learned from his Ma, although he preferred to eat her authentic puertoriqueno dishes.

Sammy, your family wants you to know that you are loved and will live in our hearts forever. We will miss the love you shared with us and the joy you have brought into our lives. We know you are on the shores of Heaven, with your toes in the sand, waiting for us to come home. Vaya con Dios, esto no es adios sino un hasta luego.
