Rosemary Berry Vincoli, 66, went to be with her Lord on December 8, 2019. Rosemary was born to the late Cloid and Rosemary Bowling on July 15, 1953 in Proctorville, Ohio. Rosemary was very ambitious, loved her nursing career, and helping others. In 1973, she graduated from Marshall University and attained her nursing degree where she then went to work as an ICU/CCU Nurse at Cable-Huntington Hospital in West Virginia. When she moved to Florida in the late 1970’s, she worked as a nurse at the most magical place on earth, Walt Disney World. Throughout her long nursing career, she spent 14 years at Kennedy Space Center as a Certified Occupational Health Nurse where she supported the launch teams at the very beginning of the Space Shuttle Program, and she was later was made Supervisor of Nursing for Kennedy Space Center. She also had employment at Westhoff Hospital and later at Cape Canaveral Hospital as an ICU and Cardiac Nurse. Before her retirement, her last 12 years was as a surgical nurse at Brevard Cosmetic Surgery Group in Merritt Island, Florida. A job she absolutely loved. Rosemary cherished her wonderful Yorkshire Terroirs who were like her children. She loved all animals and especially birds which she would watch for hours at her home in Titusville that sat on the border of a bird sanctuary. Her other home, in Kona, Hawaii was her “piece of paradise” that she loved so much she actually married there to her husband Jeff in a tropical garden setting. Many happy and joyful moments were spent in Hawaii over the past many years.
Rosemary is survived by her husband of 35 years, Jeffrey Vincoli; Brother, Michael Bowling of Cocoa, Florida; Sister, Janet Fryou of Melbourne, Florida; Sister, Rita Gordon of Huntsville, Alabama; Sister Karen Bennett of Hendersonville, North Carolina; Brother-in-law, Joseph A. Vincoli of Norwalk, Connecticut; Sister-in-law, Cheryl Vincoli Parker of Stamford, Connecticut; as well as an extended family of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents, Cloid and Rosemary Bowling and her brother, Lawrence Bowling.
Quoting an ancient African proverb, her husband Jeff says of his beloved Rosemary: "It’s a happy man who marries the girl he loves; but a happier man loves the girl he marries." After nearly 40 years together, I cannot imagine I could have ever been happier. Rest in peace my sweet wife, I will love you forever.
