Obituary

Corporal Robert "Bob" Pearce, 69, formerly of Jensen Beach, Fl., died on March 11, 2020. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Born May 21, 1950 in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania and grew up in Maryland, Corporal Pearce served with the U.S Army's 2nd Battalion, 5th Artillery, 7th Army from 1967-1973 as a gunner on a Redeye Missile Crew, and as a Nuclear Biological Radioactive Non-Commissioned Officer. He was honorably discharged in November, 1973. After his service, Bob spent the next 40 years as a window tinter and business-owner in South Florida. Bob was a member of AMVETS of Jensen Beach.

Known as "Barnacle" Bob to his friends, he was a lifelong Washington Redskins fan, loved to go fishing and was a master gardener. He enjoyed walks on the beach collecting shells with his grandkids.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents Commander Charles Pearce and Phyllis of Maryland. He is survived by his life partner Debbie; his siblings Karen, his brother-in-law, Keith, and Traci. Bob was a loving father to Bobby Pearce, Sandy Myers and to his son-in-law Eric Myers. His grandchildren, Samantha, Colin and Faith will truly miss spending vacations with Grandpa Bob.

Bob was a man like no other and will be missed by many friends and family members. He would have liked to give one last "oorah" to his buddies.
