Robert Browne

Robert A. Browne, 82, died suddenly Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Parrish Medical Center. Bob was born in Chicago, Illinois and came to Titusville in 1958. He graduated from Illinois Institute of Technology and later received his master’s degree from FSU. Bob served in the Army from 1958 to 1960. After his service he worked at NASA for the Manned Space Program and retired in 1993 as the Director of Communications. Bob loved woodworking, gardening and playing with his granddaughter Ella.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Cathy; their grandchildren Monica Townley, Rodd Weber, Erica Pitts, Maureen Thompson and Michael Lakin; his daughter-in-law Linda Lakin; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; his sister Betty Utterback; sister-in-law Gladys Browne; and his niece and nephew Bonnie and Ronnie.

Bob was preceded by his son Ron Lakin; parents Ruth and James Browne, Sr.; and his brother James Browne, Jr.

A celebration of Bob’s life will be at 1pm Monday October 2, 2017 at North Brevard Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Temple Baptist Church Benevolence Fund.
