Richard Moon

Richard Alan Moon, 73, died Sunday December 16th at the Edward M. Poe Hospice Care Center. Richard was born in Malad City, Idaho and came to Brevard in 1959 from New Mexico.

Richard served in the US Army in Vietnam as an aircraft mechanic. He worked for over 35 years as the director of Plant Operations at Brevard Community College. He was an active member at Park Avenue Baptist Church for over 50 years. He enjoyed shooting pool, golf, fishing and wildlife photography.

Richard is survived by his wife of 51 years Evelyn; his son Brian Moon and his wife Cheryl of Land O’ Lakes, FL; his granddaughters Sophie and Ella; his sisters Debbie, Diane, Denise, Dawn, and Adele and his stepmother Iva Lou Moon.

A memorial service will be held Friday, January 4, 2019 at Park Avenue Baptist Church with visitation from 3:30-4pm. Richard’s son Brian, Pastor of Church of the Suncoast will officiate.
