Richard Gadapee

Richard Harry Gadapee, 75, loving husband, father, grandfather, teacher and coach died Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at his home. Dick was born in Washington, D.C. on February 3, 1942. He was a proud graduate of the University of Florida, During his 35 year tenure as a teacher and coach, he touched the lives of countless families. Dick was a member of First United Methodist Church in Titusville. He loved to spend summers at his cottage in Vermont with his family. Dick is survived by his wife of 51 years Patsy; his sons Brett and his wife Amy of Titusville and Ryan and his wife Ali of Gainesville; grandchildren Chace, Ian, and Skylee; his sister Beverly Brock of Wilmington, NC; and his brother Ronald Gadapee and his wife Peg of Evans, GA. Visitation will be held 6-8PM Friday 7/7 at North Brevard Funeral Home. A celebration of Dick’s life will be held at First United Methodist Church at 2pm Saturday July 8, 2017. Burial service will be private at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations in Dick's name be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, www.jdrf.org. The family wishes to express sincere thanks to St. Francis Hospice.
