Perry L Driver

Perry L. Driver passed away on Wednesday, March 8th, 2023, at the age of 65. Perry was born in Sacramento, California on October 4th, 1957. After graduating from Rio Americano High School, he enlisted in the Air Force and was stationed in New Mexico.

After his time served with the Air Force, he moved to Ohio, Georgia, then ultimately to Central Florida, where he began his career in the space industry in the late 1980’s. He was employed with companies such as McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Company, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, and United Launch Alliance. He served as a Quality Assurance Inspector under rocket programs such as the Delta II, III, IV, and Atlas V until 2016, when he retired early due to health reasons.

In his early years, Perry was an avid bicycle racer. He loved his job and was a dedicated employee. In his retirement, he enjoyed golfing, recreational shooting, driving in his Jeep, restoring antiques, and collecting unique memorabilia. He loved visiting his family, playing with his grandchildren, having neighborhood hangouts, and attending church.

Perry will be especially remembered by his family and friends for his unwavering kindness and enthusiasm for the accomplishments and wellbeing of others. He intentionally sought out ways to evoke a conversation for the sole purpose of brightening someone else’s day. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, even when he did not have much to give. He used to say, “Don’t worry, we’ll get through this.” He will be missed dearly.

Perry is survived by his daughter, Kaitlin Driver, his son-in-law Chad Kunsman, and his three grandchildren, Natalie, Sophia, and Joshua Kunsman. He is also survived by his sister Deanna Deville, and his nieces Brenda (Driver) Burrell and Elizabeth (Driver) Etherington.

He is preceded in death by his parents Nancy and Neil Driver.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 1st, 2023, 10: 00 am, at Rocket Town Church located at 4525 Apollo Rd, Titusville, FL 32780.
