Paul R Tyree Sr

PAUL R TYREE, SR. departed this world at 4:44 p.m. on April 13, 2021, at the age of 80 years and 2 month, following an extended illness.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Tyree and Edith Gabbard Tyree, 3 sisters: Claudette Burton, Yvonne Akers, and Henrietta Shelton and a brother, Kenneth Rayburn Tyree.  Survivors include his devoted wife of 54 years, Norma Combs Tyree, sons Paul Raymond Tyree, Jr. of Winter Springs, FL and Douglas Gregory Tyree (Tasha Brown-Tyree) of Little Rock AR; 3 grandchildren:  Morgan Taylor Tyree Tazelaar (Cody), Jenna McMillan (Nick) and Cody Ashworth (Sirena); 3 great grandchild: Brooklyn Raye Tyree, Colt Tazelaar, and Asher McMillian; 1 sister, Louise Peterson from OH, and 5 brothers, James Lewis Tyree from NJ, David Lee Tyree from Canada, Marcus Tyree from OH, Michael Tyree from TX, and Charles Tyree from OH; plus many other relatives and friends.

Paul was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, and brother whose quite smile warmed the hearts of those around him.  His sense of humor was rather unique and best appreciated by those who knew him well.  He loved old movies and television series and would watch them repeatedly while adamantly denying he had ever seen them before.  Paul also enjoyed telling the story of how he met his wife and tended to doctor the story up to suit himself! 

In complying with Paul's wishes, he will be cremated and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
