Paul D. Myers, Jr. (aka Davey) went home to be with the Lord August 4,2017. He was born June 7, 1939 in Roanoke, VA to Paul and Marjorie Myers, both deceased. After receiving a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from VA Tech in 1962, he entered the USAF at Patrick AFB, FL as a Second Lt. and served in the 6555th Aerospace Test Wing. After his USAF service and for the next 30 years, he was employed by NASA at the Kennedy Space Center. He served in various positions with the Apollo Program Office and the Directorate of Design Engineering during the Shuttle Program, receiving numerous awards including the Exceptional Service Medal and Outstanding Leadership Medal. Upon his retirement, he and his wife Nancy divided their time between their GA mountain cabin and their Florida residence. Paul was an active member of his church and had served in many capacities including trustee, deacon, choir member, and Sunday school teacher. He was an avid golfer, genealogist and student of the Civil War. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, the former Nancy Lee Flint of Roanoke, VA, sister Sondra Trent (Jim) of Richmond, VA; two children, Landon Scott Myers (Angie) of Seattle, WA and Paula Myers Elmore (David) of Leesburg, VA and three grandchildren, Madie, Lindsay and Tripp Elmore. Friends will be received Monday, August 7, from 6-8 pm at North Brevard Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, August 8 at 11 am at First Christian Church, 20880 West JayJay Rd., Titusville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Children's Hunger Project at First Christian Church.
