Patricia Abbott, 82, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, June 12, 2021. Born November 25, 1938, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to the late Samuel and LaVille (Johnson) Stephens, Pat grew up in Star City and Monticello, Arkansas where she graduated high school. She attended college at University of Arkansas at Monticello and obtained her bachelor’s degree in sociology and anthropology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She married her high school sweetheart, Earl, in 1958.
A resident of Titusville since 1977, Pat brokered a successful real estate company and worked in real estate property management until her passing. Along with her husband, she developed such projects as Tennis Village, Camelot Estates, LaVida Del Sol and Arbor Ridge. She was involved in community organizations such as the Titusville Garden Club, AAUW, Meals on Wheels and many others.
Pat was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother, who enjoyed family activities, cooking and gardening. She was a unique combination of strength, intelligence and kindness. All who knew her will miss her greatly.
She was survived by daughters, Angela Abbott Smith (Marc) and Terri Abbott O’Brien (James), grandchildren, Kyla O’Brien Baker (Matt), Shea O’Brien (Ben), Connor O’Brien (Tony) and Torin O’Brien, great grandchildren, Brynn and Chet, and sister, Sue Curme (George). She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 60 years, Earl.
The family will receive friends at a Celebration of Life on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at 11:30 a.m. at LaCita Country Club, in Titusville.
