Norma Jean Goode

Norma Jean Goode passed away January 15, 2022. Norma was a woman of amazing grace, strength, and beauty, she lived a full life of 80 years. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on June 23, 1941 to the late Granville “Poppy” and Margaret “Gaga” Miller. She was the youngest of six children. She was the true matriarch of her family.

Norma is survived by her husband, Roosevelt Goode, Jr; Daughter, Batina Leora Thomas; Son, Curtis (Princess) Goode; Granddaughters, Lauren Nicole Thomas, Laurel Rena’ Thomas (Russell Lee Welch), Grandson, Lawrence Alan Thomas;  Granddaugher, Shanbria Goode and Lakela (Jackson) Lewis; Brother-In-Law, Julian Goode; Sisters-In-Law, Carol Goode and Carole Mendenhall, and 10 Great-Grandchildren.

Norma is preceded in death by Sisters, Darlene Murry, LuFrancis “Sissy” Bennett, Joanne Miller and Raquel Renee; Brother, Robert Miller; Father and Mother-In-Law, Roosevelt Goode Sr. and Alberta Goode.

She will be dearly missed by her family and friends, Norma supported, guided and loved her family from the deepest of her heart.
