Born in Jamjodhpur, Saurashtra (Gujarat). Since growing up as a child, he spent most of his life working diligently as a farmer. Even though he only had a second-grade education, he strongly believed in providing higher educational opportunities to all his 6 children. It is through him that they learned the values of hard work, ethics, and community service. He used to cut his own woods to donate to funeral homes. He later became the first person to start electric cremation in his town through his innovative ideas. He also provided resources through a generous donation to start Gaushala(shelter for cows). Subsequently, he immigrated to US in 1987 at the age of 65. After a few years, through sheer determination and perseverance, he learned English, became a citizen of this country, and sponsored his entire family to immigrate. During the later stages of his life, he was fully devoted to Bhakti and service to Bhagwan.
