Michael Francis Favata, 64, died on August 19, 2021 at his home in Melbourne. Michael was born in Rockledge and was a lifelong resident of Central Florida. He served in the U.S. Army for four years before working as an Electrical Technician for Martin Marietta at Kennedy Space Center. He then worked for several IT Companies as a Network Specialist until he retired in 2019. He loved golf, the Florida Gators, his family and being a jokester with everyone he met. He especially loved being a grandpa.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents Rosemary and Louis Favata and his brother Tony.
He is survived by his son Calvin Favata (Jennifer), grandchildren Caleb and Jayden of Orlando, his daughter Kelli Favata-Moxley (Ryan) of Arizona, his siblings Suzie Browning (Chris), Kathryn Favata (Peg), Louise Favata, all of Titusville, Chrissy Elder (Daryl) of Mims and his sister-in-law Monica of Apopka.
Michael will be missed by his family and friends and there will always be a special place in their hearts for him.
Michael’s life will be celebrated at at later date.
