Marvin Lee Davidson

June 10, 1947 ~ April 4, 2021 (age 73) 73 Years Old

Obituary

Marvin Lee Davidson, Sr, 73, of Wausaukee, Wisconsin, passed away suddenly on April 4 at his winter home in Titusville, Florida.  Cherished husband, father, grandfather and friend, Marvin was a kind, generous and compassionate soul.

Born in Madison, TN in 1947, Marvin grew up on a working farm in Clarksville, TN, where he developed his life-long work ethic and his zest for vegetable gardening.  He was always in search of the perfect tomato.

In 1968, Marvin enlisted in the U.S. Navy.  From a duty station on the U.S.S. Thomaston, and after too many tours to mention, Marvin was the sole survivor of his original river Patrol Boat crew.   For his service, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal.

After the war, Marvin spent his career working his way through the ranks of BellSouth (now AT&T).

In the early 1990s, he met the love of his life Judy (Prudhomme) in Nashville, TN where she had relocated years earlier from Menekaunee.  Judy convinced Marv to move back home to the North Woods with her, but he brought his slow, Southern drawl with him and was often teased that he was speaking a foreign language by his newly joined Wisconsin family.

Survivors include his wife Judy, his children, Marvin (Bhebe) Davidson of Toledo, Ohio, Marvin (Heather) Davidson of Greenbrier, TN, Bridgette (Jaime) Wilkinson of Hendersonville, TN, Kenny (Jackie) Brooks of Memphis, TN, Cindy (Colonel Arthur) Yeager of Fairfax, Virginia, and Kim Brooks (Rusty Wolfe) of Wausaukee, siblings David (Delores) Davidson of Brentwood, Donna Davidson (Donald) Carter, of Mt. Pleasant, NC, 14 granchildren, and his beloved extended family.

A memorial service in Wisconsin and a military burial in Tennessee will be scheduled at a later date.
