Obituary

Mrs. Margaret Amanda (Spencer) Latina, daughter of Henry Spencer and Margaret (Adams) Spencer, died on Feb 20, 2024, at her home in Titusville FL at the age of 85.

Born in Honolulu, HI on April 9, 1938, she graduated from Lyman Memorial High School, Lebanon CT. She was top in her class in Business Administration and won several business awards. She was married to John S. Pelechatz on Aug 3, 1957.  Husband of 23 years. The couple moved to Norwich, CT, and had two daughters and three sons. She took an active role in her children’s activities, attending sports events, music, and dance recitals. When her children were older, she worked as a Home Health Care Provider, and as a Walmart Food Demonstrator. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, bead work, playing the piano, and her beloved country music.

Margaret is survived by her children Frederick J. Pelechatz and wife Clara of Cocoa, FL, Dara-Lynn C. Pelechatz and partner William Buker of Cambridge, MA, Steven R. Pelechatz and wife Linda of Titusville, FL, Daniel L. Pelechatz and wife Suzann of Titusville, FL, and Diane L. Morris and husband Anthony of Cleveland, TN.  In addition to her children Margaret was blessed with and survived by 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Her siblings Sheilah (Spencer) Craig, Titusville FL, Gloria (Spencer) Pinette, Interlaken NY, Daniel Spencer Brookline NH, John Spencer Mountain View MO, Dave Spencer, Mims FL. She was proceeded by her parents and brother James Spencer and 2nd husband Ronald S. Latina.

A Mass to Celebrate the life of Margaret will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 16, 2024, in St. Teresa Catholic Church, 203 Ojibway Ave UNIT 203, Titusville, FL 32780. 

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Margaret Latina’s Honor to the St. Francis Reflections Hospice, 1250-B Grumman Place Titusville, FL 32780.
