Linwood Morton Dabney, Jr., 88, died Thursday July 11, 2019 at Parrish Medical Center. Linwood was born in Silver Spring, Maryland and came to Florida in the 1950s. He was a P2V Radar Operator in the U.S. Navy. After his work in the Navy Linwood worked at Florida Power and Light. He was active in St. James Episcopal Church as a lay reader, the Navy League, The Woodsmen of America, The Elks Club, Boy Scouts Civil Air Patrol, the Sertoma club and he was a Baseball Coach when his boys were growing up.
Linwood is survived by his wife of 36 years Barbara Dabney of Titusville, his sons Lin Dabney, III and his wife Carletta of New Bern, North Carolina, Donald Dabney and his wife Teresa of New Albany, Mississippi, his grandchildren Kayla, Susanna, Jared, Joshua, Daniel, 10 great grandchildren and his sister Lyda Brookbank of Silver Spring, Maryland and his sister-in-law Linda Galloway.
A visitation will be from 10-11am Wednesday July 17, 2018 at North Brevard Funeral Home. Services will be at 11am.
