Laurence James Kelley, of Titusville, passed away on January 5, 2018. Born on March 8, 1942 in Stamford, CT, he was a crew chief in the United States Air Force serving in the United Kingdom and Spain. He graduated from the University of Central Florida and was a loyal Knights fan. Mr. Kelley worked for Florida Power and Light for 37 years, both in the field and in management. He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia, and his two devoted daughters, Lauren Kelley Conley and Shana Kelley Carson. He is also survived by his sons-in-law, who were like sons to him, Norman Dale Conley and Matthew Kramer Carson. He had five beautiful grandchildren, whom he adored: Noah and Vivien Conley and Alexander, Oliver, and Margaux Rose Carson. He is also survived by his sister, Dawn Frazier and nieces and nephews.
Mr. Kelley was an avid reader. He also loved to travel with his family, especially to Europe. He was equally at home paddling his kayak around the lakes of Brevard County. He loved to attend sporting events with his grandsons. He could spend all day in a museum, reading every exhibit. Mr. Kelley will be missed by anyone who ever met him and had the joy of a conversation with him.
