Kenneth Lee Klein

Kenneth Lee Klein, 69, passed away Aug. 22, 2019 at Advent Health Hospital in Orlando, Florida.  He was born in Sandusky, Ohio on Sept. 10, 1949. After 30 years of service with General Motors he retired and moved to Titusville, Florida with his wife Barbara in 2015. He is preceded in death by his parents Vincent and Helen JoAnn (nee Hemmer) Klein; his brothers Louis and Vincent Jr.; his sister Vickie Milner; and his sister-in-law Joan Davis.  He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Barbara (nee Watts) of Titusville, his son Adam of Sandusky, Ohio and his step-daughter Courtney (Stephen) Gavazzi of Hilliard, Ohio; grandsons Brennan DuPont of Brooksville, Florida, Connor Yarcheck and John Gavazzi of Hilliard Ohio; brothers Patrick of Norwalk and Bruce of Sandusky, and brother-in-law Wesley Davis of Akron, Ohio; relatives and friends. Special thanks to Mel and Donna Hemmer of Titusville, Florida for their support. Ken enjoyed cooking, volunteering for “Real Men Cook” for the Battered Women’s Shelter in Cleveland, Ohio. He participated in Sandusky’s annual “Walk-a-Mile in Her Shoes” to stop violence against women. He supported charities and fundraisers, riding on his Harley Classic in organized events for many years. An avid sports fan, Ken loved Ohio State, the Indians and the Browns. When he wasn’t on his Harley, you could find him on any golf course between Ohio and Florida. Ken was a member of the United Auto Workers #913 and #1250 during his employment and after his retirement. He was also a member of the Sandusky Orioles Club Nest 279, American Legion Posts 83 and 1250 in Ohio and Moose Lodge 2073 and Merritt Island Elks Lodge in Florida. Ken was a 2nd degree Knight of Columbus. A Celebration of Life will be held in Titusville, Florida on September 10th from 12-2 pm at Plantation Oaks club house, 2050 Savannah Blvd. 32780.  Kenneth’s memorial service will be held in Sandusky, Ohio on September 21st from 10 am until 12 pm at Victory Temple, 1619 West Strub Rd.
