Kazuko "Kay" Hamada, 88, passed away on May 13, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. Born in 1931 in Hawaii, she grew up in the sugarcane industry towns of Wailea/Hakalau. After marrying, they journeyed to the Midwest and eventually settled down in their Florida home near family and friends. Kay was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, nurse, engaging character, and energetic friend to all who knew her. Her physical presence will be missed, but she shall live on within our hearts through the wonderful memories we hold dear. Kazuko is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Kazumi Hamada; Her son: Sherwin and his wife, Michelle; Her daughter: Deborah and her husband, Jimmy; Grandchildren: Ashlei, Mark and his wife Jennifer, Sachiko and her husband Jason, Melissa, Jimmy, and Robert; Great-grandchildren: Anthony, Nevaeh, Ethan, Grayson, and Kaylei. There will not be a public funeral service, but she will return "home" to Hawaii. A Memorial Service in honor of her life and how she touched those who knew her will be announced at a later time. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that any donations may be made to Hospice of Health First, 1131 West New Haven Ave, West Melbourne, FL 32904.
