Kathleen Bertha Healy

Kathleen (Kay) B. Healy, 83, died Tuesday June 6, 2017 at Sebastian River Medical Center. Kathleen was born in Bruley, Newfoundland, Canada and married Robert V. Healy (who proceeds in her death) in 1952. Kathleen and Robert came to Brevard County in 1956 from New York. Family and friends were Kathleen's happiness and delight. She was the heart of the Healy family for her husband, children, grand-children and great-grandchildren. Kathleen was very social and loved hosting dinner parties for family and friends. She had a wonderful smile and a great sense of humor that could light up the room. She was active. She enjoyed gardening, walking and swimming. Kathleen was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic church and was a tireless volunteer for many years within the church, assisting with school fairs, the children's lunch program, the church bereavement committee and the St. Teresa's Thrift store. Kathleen is survived by her son Barry Healy of Titusville, her daughter Michelle Edelman of Melbourne, her son Shawn Healy of Tampa, her daughter Cindy Muller of Melbourne, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am, Friday, June 16th, 2017 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church at 5135 N Highway 1, Cocoa, FL. A reception at the Blessed Sacrament church hall will directly follow the Mass.
