Obituary

Jose Antonio Santiago, 84, passed away on Monday, March 1, 2021 from a long term illness.  He was born to the late Antonio and Juana Santiago in Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico on April 25, 1936.  Jose graduated high school and went into The United States Air Force and was stationed in Morocco.  After being discharged from the military, he went to Millersville State College and graduated with his master’s degree in 1972.  He became an educator and taught the Spanish language for many years in the public school system. He became a school counselor for the school district of Lancaster, PN where he retired from in 1987 and moved to Titusville, FL. Shortly after.  Jose enjoyed sports of all kinds and was a true “sports fanatic”.  He loved to walk and explore about three hours a day.  He was a wonderful grandfather and loving husband and his presence will be surely missed. The family wanted to extend their gratitude to Hospice of St. Francis for their loving kindness and support and they are eternally grateful for their exceptional care.

Jose A. Santiago is survived by his wife,  Aida Iris Santiago of 60 years;  Son, Jose Santiago and his children Cordero Santiago and Christina Santiago; Daughters: Diana Walker, Deborah Ruderman and Darleen Santiago; Close grandson, Justin; Angelika Brown and Adam Ruderman ; 4 other grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. 

There will be military honors rendered at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery on March 8, 2021 at 3 o’clock in the afternoon. Please leave your condolences for the family at www.northbrevardfuneral home.com
