May 19, 1964 ~ August 15, 2021 (age 57) 57 Years Old

Obituary

John A. Falborn, age 57, originally from NYC and Sag Harbor passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021 in Titusville Florida after a brief illness.  He was born on May 19, 1964 in New York City to Edward F. Falborn and Mary E Falborn (nee Field).  In 1972 the family moved to Sag Harbor.  A graduate of Pierson High School in Sag Harbor, John went onto work as a carpenter / builder in the Hamptons for many years, and at one point owned and operated his own business JAF Carpentry.

In 1999 he met Debra Halloran and they married on August 26, 2006.  In 2009 they moved to Willmington, NC before finally settling in Merritt Island and Titusville, FL in 2014.

In 2011 he joined his sister’s and brother-in-law’s company, ACT2 Technologies, a Marine Sanitation Manufacturing company, working in production and warehouse management where he remained until his death.  John was a master finishing carpenter and always kept his hand in it doing side jobs for many people.  He was a loving, devoted family man who would drop everything he was doing to assist with whatever was asked of him.  If family members paid him for half the carpentry work he did for them he would have been a very rich man…  But that was John, always willing to help, and always with a smile on his face, never expecting anything in return except maybe a good meal..

Besides family and carpentry, John’s other passion was golf….  He was a member of the Sag Harbor Golf Club for many years, and even won numerous championships at the club throughout the years.

He is survived by his wife Debra Halloran-Falborn, a stepson, Steven Andrews, his sister Mary Falborn-Tafoya (and her husband Craig Tafoya) from Merritt Island, FL, his brothers Thomas J. Falborn from NYC and Merritt Island, FL, Robert J. Falborn (and his wife Muriel Hanson-Falborn) from Sag Harbor, NY, Edward Falborn (and his wife Melissa) from Longmont, CO, and his beloved dogs Casper and Mia.

John is also survived by an endless list of childhood friends and many more that he met along the way.  He will be sorely missed by all.  Although his home was in Florida for the past many years, his heart was forever to remain in the heart of Sag Harbor….

Following a cremation, there is a “Celebration of Life” service on Saturday, August 21st on Merritt Island with a reception to follow at the Falborn house in Titusville, FL

In lieu of flowers the family is suggesting donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the charity of your choice….
