John J. Collier Sr.

John J. Collier Sr., 72, of Mims went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 17, 2018. Born in Warren, Ohio to the late Carl and Helen Collier, John served our nation with great honor in the US Army. He was honorably discharged in 1971. John was a member of Temple Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, watching the Cleveland Indians, was a handy man around the house and loved dogs. But, most of all he enjoyed his time as a loving husband, father and grandfather. Other than his parents, John is preceded in death by his sisters Margaret Lewis and Merrie Collier and brothers William, Carl David, and Darrell. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of over 51 years, Barbara; son John J. (Tamah) Collier Jr.; daughter Malynda (Mark) Rodgers and grandchildren Bryce (Katie), Bryn, Brandon and Brenna Collier. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 21, 2018 at 3PM at Temple Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 2-3 at the church. Condolences may be shared at www.northbrevardfuneralhome.com
