Joanna Waring Titcomb passed away March 14th 2020, at her home in Vermont, in the company of her family. Joanna was born August 3rd 1920, in Jacksonville, Florida. She was a native Floridian who moved to Titusville in 1930. She attended Titusville High School and was in the graduating class of 1937. She met her husband Andrew on a blind date, and they married at the Episcopal Church in Titusville, November 9th 1940. After her husband completed his stint in the Navy in the Pacific during WWII, the couple settled in Perkinsville, VT in September 1946, which was to become their permanent home. The weather was a challenge for a Floridian who had never seen snow. She was an avid gardener and loved to be outdoors. She was also an excellent cook her whole life. She enjoyed reading and was an expert at solving crossword puzzles. She continued to be a winter resident of Titusville until her passing.
Joanna was a loving mother of four children, Andrea Iannelli of Marietta, GA, Jonathan Titcomb of Perkinsville, VT, Stephen Titcomb (deceased) of Blue Hill, ME, and Katherine Marple of Mims, FL. She also has five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was the eldest of four children, predeceased by her three siblings, Elaine Vaughn, Lois Ramage and Champ Waring. Interment will be at the historic LaGrange Cemetery in Titusville, service information is listed below.
