Janet Kay Amos, 80, died Wednesday September 16, 2020 in Titusville, Florida. Janet was born in Decatur, Illinois on November 17th, 1939 to the late Flemma Alice Wiles and Luther Wiles Janet attended nursing school at Hinsdale Hospital where she earned her LPN certification. She took great pride in her work as a nurse and worked in many different disciplines over her 60 plus year career. Janet worked part time until January of 2020 and was a resident of Dunnellon for 44 years, where she was a member of the Eastern Star. Janet was predeceased by her husband of 41 years Thomas Edward “Ed” Amos, sister Anna Mary Majors, and brother Roger D. Wiles. Janet leaves behind daughters Vicki Baker Gladwell (John), Titusville, FL, Cheryl Amos Hellums, Santa Rosa Beach, FL, and son Kent Edward Amos (Cynthia), Mobile, AL; Grandchildren Amy Gladwell Jones (Jeff), Ashley Hellums Weber (Brent), Drew Hellums, Tyler Hellums, J. Kelly Amos and three great grandchildren Emmett Jones, Jaxon Jones, and Harper Weber. A Celebration of Janet’s life will be held at a later date summer 2021.
