Obituary

Gwendolyn Bostick, 90, passed from life to her eternal home on June 16, 2022. Gwendolyn was born to the late, Charlie and Martha Jordan on August 2, 1931 in Timmonsville, South Carolina.   She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to many.  She retired from Kodak Photography Company.  She enjoyed living her life with a positive attitude.  She truly believed and lived her motto: “Live life as though it’s not promised to you.” There is a time to every purpose under the heaven, Therefore she would laugh often and dance just as much.  Her laughter was so contagious she would change the mood of others at Senior Center.  She enjoyed completing math equations, crossword puzzles, watching animal shows on television and listening to music. She loved animals so much that she was a grandma to grand pet, Mylo the Chihuahua; she would call her granddaughter, Yana and daughter, Nee Nee to talk to him over phone.  She will be missed by all those that hold her dear to their heart.

Gwendolyn is survived by her daughter, Evonne  and her husband, Abraham; Son, Donny; Daughter, Deborah; Daughter, Alberta; Daughter, Monique; Grandchildren: Shadiff, Kenya (Henry), Donte (Tonya), Niakeya (Marvin), Quan, Shaquanda, Homer, Tatyana;  11 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; Sister,  Moease Wilson; Sister-in-law, Bernice; and a host of nieces and nieces and extended family members. She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Johnnie Bostick; her beloved parents, Charlie and Martha Jordan; Siblings: Charlie, Wessie, Sadie, Jerlean, Jerusha and Boykin.
