Gloria G Loud

August 5, 1936 ~ April 5, 2019 (age 82) 82 Years Old

Obituary

It is with sad and heavy hearts that we announce our Mother, Gloria Gwendolyn Loud, ended her journey here on this earth Friday April 5, 2019, and has gone home to be with her Lord and Savior. She is now in heaven happily reunited with our father, her parents, and the rest of her family. They are all now joyously celebrating their reunion.

She was born Aug 5, 1936 in Van, WV to Cecil Alvin and Audie Virginia Ferrell and was raised in that community until graduating from Van High School. After graduation she met and married our father, Paul Frederick Loud on July 24, 1954 and moved to Madison, WV to start their family.

In 1965 she moved to Titusville, FL when our father came to work at Kennedy Space Center. For many years she worked as a Teacher’s Aide and Substitute Teacher at Mims Elementary and Coquina Elementary Schools. She was one of the founding members of Park Avenue Baptist Church.

She was first and foremost a dedicated mother and was the best mother anyone could ever ask for. We were blessed to have had her with us for as long as we did. She lived for her children and grand children and enriched all of our lives with her love and devotion. We will all miss her so much.

She was a friend to everyone she met and a source of strength for all who knew her. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. She was a Social Butterfly and loved music and dancing.

Our father was the love of her life. True love is hard to find, but together they found it and were madly in love for the 52 years they were together. Her ashes will be mixed with our father’s ashes and they will be interned together in Eternal Love.

She is survived by her children Alvin Loud and his wife Leslie of Oak Hill, Martha Loud Charvet and her husband Mike of Titusville, Jim Loud and his wife Megan of Winter Park, her grandchildren Elizabeth and her husband Ron, Barry and his wife Nerissa, Hunter, Vivian and Hadley, and her great-grandchildren Adam, Weston and Curren.

She is preceded in death by her parents Cecil and Audie Ferrell, her husband Paul F. Loud, and siblings Jim Ferrell, and Sue Harris.

Her life will be celebrated Friday April 26 at 12:00pm at North Brevard Funeral Home, 1450 Norwood Ave, Titusville, FL 32796.

Our father was a Korean War Veteran and they will be interned together at 1:30 pm at Cape Canaveral National Veterans Cemetery, 5525 US-1, Mims, FL 32754, with Military Honors Ceremony for our father. There will be a Police Escort Procession from the Funeral Home to the Cemetery.

A Celebration of Life reception will be held following the services and internment at approx. 2:00pm at the American Legion Post 1, 1281 US-1 Titusville, FL 32796.

Everyone who knew her is welcome.
