Gary Lee Raulerson left this life and was immediately welcomed into an eternity with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the love of his life Paula Raulerson. He will be greatly missed by his family, that adored him, but they know that they do not mourn as those who have no hope. They are all followers of Jesus and so they know with confidence that they will see him again. Gary was born on June 7th 1953 in Edgewater, Florida.
A handsome baby boy with big brown eyes. He was fun loving, hard working, kind, and faithful. He was an amazing husband to the love of his life, Paula, for 47 blessed years. After he lost her eight months ago, he had heavily mourned for her. All that knew them knew that they were in the presence of a true love story, a love story for the history books.
Gary and Paula had two sons, Brian Lee Raulerson (married to Christy) and David Paul Raulerson (married to Julie). They were extremely proud of both of their sons and the men of God they had become and they loved their daughter-in-law‘s dearly. They absolutely adored their grandchildren: Alyssa Slack (husband Mason), Austin Raulerson, Emma Raulerson, Grace Raulerson, Samuel Raulerson, and Jeremiah Raulerson. In a few short weeks they will be looking on from heaven and celebrating as their first great granddaughter Kinsley is born.
Gary also leaves behind a devoted sister in law, Debbie Grout, and Debbie’s daughters Heather Grout and Michelle Ashworth (husband Steven). He also loved his great nieces and nephew; Steven, Rylee, and Kinley Ashworth.
Gary was such a servant leader to his family. He beautifully and faithfully served his wife and family, always working hard to make sure that they had everything they needed. He also led by his example in following Jesus. Those who knew him in the last months after he lost Paula, will know that when he stepped into eternity, he stepped into the familiar presence of the Lord. He loved to share his relationship with the Lord with others and how the Lord was walking right with him through his grief. Together with Paula they have left their family with a beautiful love story and a Godly legacy. Anyone that knew Gary, knew he loved to laugh and his jokes, his sense of humor, and his pranks will be fondly remembered by everyone. Gary was such treasure and will be so greatly missed. Gary would want those left behind to know this, because he himself understood it so well…
From 1 Peter 1 (The Message version)
3-5 What a God we have! And how fortunate we are to have Him, this Father! Because Jesus was raised from the dead, we’ve been given a brand-new life and have everything to live for, including a future in heaven—and the future starts now! God is keeping careful watch over us and the future. The Day is coming when you’ll have it all—life healed and whole.
6-7 I know how great this makes you feel, even though you have to put up with every kind of aggravation in the meantime. Pure gold put in the fire comes out of it proved pure; genuine faith put through this suffering comes out proved genuine. When Jesus wraps this all up, it’s your faith, not your gold, that God will have on display as evidence of His victory.
8-9 You never saw Him, yet you love Him. You still don’t see Him, yet you trust Him—with laughter and singing. Because you kept on believing, you’ll get what you’re looking forward to: total salvation.
Gary was a man of genuine faith and is now enjoying total salvation, healed and whole.
