Franklin W Bailey

Franklin W. Bailey, Jr. passed away Sunday, October 27, 2019.  He was preceded in death by his wife Bernice.  Born in Newark, New Jersey, Frank joined the Army Air Corps at the age of 20 in 1941.  He served in both WWII and the Korean War.  After retiring from the US Air Force, he ultimately went to work for the Lockheed Space Operations Company at the Kennedy Space Center.  Frank loved to travel, loved the outdoors and loved history.  He enjoyed volunteering at the Alaska Iditarod sled dog races and spending summers as a volunteer at the Acadia National Forest in Maine.  He exemplified everything good about the "greatest generation" and he will be greatly missed by his many friends.
