Eugene Mark Sestile

Eugene Mark Sestile, 81, passed June 10, 2017. He was the twelfth  child of Michael and Marie Sestile of Ambridge, PA where he grew up and was a forever fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. In 1954, he married his high school sweetheart, Patricia (Morse), and they moved to Denver, CO where he graduated from the University of Denver. In 1963, they moved to Florida and he began a highly decorated career with NASA spanning the Apollo and Shuttle programs and culminating with an assignment in Washington, DC.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Patricia, four children, Marie (and Jim Bassett), Mark (and Kendra), Michael (and Janique), Mitchell (and Jan), 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was known for his Italian heritage, being a loving husband, a wonderful father and a strong family supporter; his smiling face and contagious laughter will be sorely missed.

The family is planning an informal memorial at North Brevard Funeral Home in Titusville on Wednesday June 14, 2017 from 3 – 4:30 PM with a celebration of life at Sherwood Country Club from 5 – 7pm.
