Edith Martin

Edith Martin, age 86, passed away peacefully with family by her side on October 10th, 2021. Edith was born in Donora, Pennsylvania to Adam and Julia Romantino. She graduated from Donora High School. She was the 7th child out of 9 children in the family. Edith had many interests which included sewing, where she loved making outfits for Donni Jane and shorts for Mark. She stayed active in her community, she attended her son Mark’s baseball and football games and she looked forward to holidays with family gatherings. In 1964, Edith moved to the Titusville area where she had lived with her family for over 45 years. She became a bus attendant for developmentally delayed children dealing with their daily interactions and loving them as if they were her own.

Edith is preceded in death by her first husband Donald Ritchie and her second husband Robert Martin. She is survived by her daughter Donni Ritchie Morris, her son Mark Ritchie and his partner Denise DiMuro, and Casey her dog. Later in years, Edith kept her active lifestyle, attending church activities, making many friends at the “Prime Timers” at Temple Baptist Church, and always attending Sunday masses at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

Edith had a wonderful spirit about her, a beautiful smile, and a cheery sense of humor. She loved to laugh and tell great stories of the past over a good hot cup of coffee. Edith was loved by her children, family members, many cousins, and friends.
