Dorothea (Dot) Moschello Scalesse of Titusville, (formerly of New York), passed away on November 28, 2021 at the age of 88. Dot was the beloved wife of the recently departed Peter Scalesse and the late John Moschello. She was preceded in death by her daughter Kathy DuBois, son, Jack Moschello, and her grandson, Michael Puleo. Survivors are her sister, Valerie Bishop, her sister-in-law Joan Dryden and her five remaining children and their spouses: Beth Christian (Ray), Fran Wallace (Brian), Laura Moschello Lee (Lewis), Michael Moschello (Mary) and James Moschello; 19 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Dot devoted herself to caring for others. She raised her family with John and then worked as a nanny to several local doctors. She also worked at Circles of Care until John’s health failed. Dot cared for John until he passed away in 2001. She volunteered with Hospice of St. Francis and the Parrish Hospital Auxiliary. She met her second husband Peter at St. Teresa’s Church and they married in 2008. Dot joined Peter in volunteering as a church usher and also volunteered at the Knights of Columbus. Dot had a quick smile, infectious laugh and caring personality. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family and friends and playing dominoes and Poke-no. She liked to travel and especially enjoyed cruises. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A funeral mass is planned for 11 AM, January 14 at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church in Titusville with internment at Cape Canaveral Veteran’s Cemetery in Mims at 1:30 PM.
