Doris Kathleen Bernier

Doris Kathleen Bernier, 66, died Tuesday March 30, 2021 at her home in Mims. Doris was born in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and came to Titusville in 1992. Before retiring she worked in the office at Aker Eye Center in Titusville. She was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church. Most of all Doris loved her family and truly cherished spending time with them. She was preceded by her soulmate and husband of 44 years Donald in 2015. She is survived by her daughter Tracy Neal and her husband Brian of Mims, her son Jeremy Bernier and his wife Ruthann of Midlothian, VA, her grandchildren Ashlie Sinha and her husband Nitish of Durham, NC, Anthony Bernier and his wife Mary of Durham, NC, Alisha Ipina and her husband Jose of Titusville, Alexander Neal of Mims and Jeremy Bernier of Midlothian, VA, and her great-grandchildren Elliott Bernier, Everly Bernier and Isabella Ipina.   Doris is also survived by her sisters Vesta Smith and her husband Jim of The Dalles, Oregon, Elaine Lanehart and her husband Bill of Port St John, Florida and her brother Ken Relander and his wife Peggy of Big Lake, Minnesota.

Doris and her husband Donald exemplified what love and marriage means. That love carried on to their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Doris carried that love after the passing of her husband and was always there for her family and friends. Doris loved life, family, God, and a good laugh. Her unrelenting positive outlook kept her on earth despite her illness so she could spread that love and have the opportunity to meet her great grandchildren.

Doris will be missed by so many as she impacted many lives for the better. Your family and friends love you and know you are soaring and have been reunited with loved ones who preceded you. God bless you and we will see you again!

A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11am Thursday April 29, 2021 at St. Teresa Catholic Church. Following the mass Doris will be placed in the columbarium at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery with her husband Donald.
