Doris Arnold

Doris Evelyn Arnold, 97, of Titusville, FL went to be with the Lord on June 15, 2021. Doris was born on June 12, 1924 in Frostproof, FL to Miami and Jesse Touchton. Doris had one sister, Mildred, who died in childhood. She grew up on a farm in Frostproof and graduated from Frostproof High School in 1942. She married Peter J. Arnold on July 12, 1942 in Frostproof and they eventually settled in Titusville. Doris retired from the Brevard County Juvenile Court in 1989. Doris was a Sunday School teacher and active in her church until her later years. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Peter, son Warren, and grandson Beau Arnold. Doris is survived by her children, Martha Ray Daniher (Andrew), James Alan Arnold, and Enid Suzanne Bourgault (all of Titusville, FL) along with six grandchildren, Laura, Michael, Jessica, Stacey, Linda, and Jesse and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Known by her grands & greats as Mama Lita, Dita, Mimi, and Sweetie, Doris quietly communicated her love for her family through her cooking, sewing, and faithful bible study and prayer. At her table we could share our hearts without fear of judgment knowing she would faithfully lift us up to the One who had our best at heart. She was an accomplished seamstress and loved crocheting and working puzzles. She was passionate about her garden, growing and sharing all sorts of flowers, fruits, and vegetables.

Service will be held at the LaGrange Church & Cemetery, 1560 Old Dixie Hwy, Titusville, FL on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 10am.
