Donald E. Vaughan of Titusville, Florida, passed away on August 29 at the Hospice Center in Titusville. Funeral Services will be held September 1, 2017 at St. Andrew United Methodist Church at 11:00AM

Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by North Brevard Funeral Home

Don was born in Eldon, Missouri, to Eddie and Dorothy Vaughan on January 13, 1940. He went to school in Eldon where, in eighth grade, he met his future wife, Lovea (Lovey) Trammell. After graduating from high school in 1958, Don enlisted in the United States Air Force. Don and Lovey married on August 2, 1961 in Eldon. After Twenty-three years of service, Don retired from the service in 1981. He moved his family to Titusville, Florida where he began working on the Space Shuttle program with USBI. He retired for the second time in 2001. Don enjoyed cruising, fishing, bowling and cheering on the Magic basketball team. But most of all his grandchildren.

Don is preceded in death by his parents, brothers in-law Leonard, Gen and Daniel.

Don is survived by his wife Lovea Trammell, Son Donald Vaughan, Jr. (Sharon), daughter Susan Fickey (Chris), grandchildren, Shannon Grose, Stephen Fickey, Cole Fickey, Andrea Danley, Tiffany Davis. Brother Paul Vaughan (Carol), sister Helen Dilcom great-grand children, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Hospice of St. Francis. The family of Don wishes to extend our sincere thanks to doctors, nurses, hospice organizations, and church family of St. Andrew UMC for all their prayers, love and support during this difficult time.
