David D Shaeffer

David Daniel Shaeffer, 64, of Titusville, Florida, died at home peacefully in his sleep after a long illness on June 10, 2018 in the presence of his wife and son. 

David was born in Ft. Lee, Virginia in 1953.  His love of music led him to begin his musical career as a bass player and vocalist while in Arlington, VA.  He continued his musical career after moving to Florida in 1970, where he switched from playing bass guitar to playing rhythm and lead guitar as well as becoming lead singer.  He toured and played throughout Florida.  It was in Brevard County, however, where he met and married the love of his life, Robin, on March 26, 1977.

David is survived by his wife of 41 years, Robin Russo Shaeffer; Son Clayton Lee Shaeffer; brother Clayton Julius Shaeffer (Tina); sister Francesca Hinson (Bill) and many nieces and nephews.

Family will gather for a private remembrance and celebration of his life.  David will be remembered for his wit and wisdom, his deep abiding love of family, music, country, and those who serve in uniform.
