David Patrick Owler (“Pat”), 55, passed away in his residence in Hermitage, Tennessee on December 18, 2018. Pat was a loving devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, and a long-time Master Mason and Shriner. Pat was very proud of his 19 year career with the Space Shuttle program at Kennedy Space Center. Known by his friends for his BBQ’ing, and his general fun-loving demeanor, Pat was loved by so many people. Arrangements for Pat’s cremation are being handled by Smith Brothers Funeral Directors of Nashville, Tennessee.
Pat was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Robert Nicholas and RoseMarie Owler, and is survived by his wife, best friend and soulmate of 17 years, JoAnne (Hensley) Owler, son Garrett Paul Troke, daughter Stephanie Anne Herrnkind (husband, Chris), grandchildren Logan and Brandt Herrnkind, brothers Jim Owler (wife, Mikki), Michael Owler, John Owler (wife, Teri), sister Diana Kearns (husband, David), and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
At Pat’s request in the event of his death, there will be no memorial service held; however, Pat will be laid to rest near his parents at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Titusville, Florida.
