Obituary

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved sister.  Cynthia “Cindy” Kaye Glass, age 73, passed away on November 30, 2022.  She was born on October 18, 1949 in Cambridge, Ohio, to Willam “Bill” R. Glass and Betty L. (Atkinson) Glass. After attending elementary school and junior high in Brilliant, Ohio, Cindy graduated from Titusville High School in 1967. She later pursued a college degree in business administration from William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri.  Her career path includes a wide range of positions with Southern Bell/ ATT, admissions and communication administrator at Spelman Hospital in Smithville, Missouri.  Longing to return to Florida, Cindy became a cast member at Walt Disney World in Orlando for a few years, returning once again to employment with ATT until her retirement.  She continued to be active in her community San Mateo Village, helping friends and neighbors and keeping the books for the HOA. Cindy loved driving sporty cars, boating, fishing and shrimping on the Indian River. She also loved making strikes at the local bowling alley and hitting the casinos on many a cruise ship. When relaxing at home she was surrounded by fur, feathers and fins.  Her beloved cats, too many to name, were her constant companions.  Casper, her parrot, with his extended vocabulary was a favorite with her nieces and nephews, as was her exotic saltwater aquarium. She is survived by her four siblings, W. Carter Glass, Connie J. Beeck (Todd), Sharon G. Wolfe (Michael) and B. Chrisanne Waughtel.  She has many nieces and nephews and one surviving Uncle, Duane Murdock 102 years  young. In addition a chosen family of Dwayne and Kathy Firman. She was predeceased by her parents and sister, Sandra Davenport. The family wishes to extend their Thanks and Appreciation for Cindy’s care to Royal Oak Nursing and Rehab Center and Hospice of St Francis. A Celebration of Life will be held in the near future, family and friends will be contacted when plans are completed. To honor Cindy, a donation maybe made in her memory to the SPCA of North Brevard: 6035 Sisson Rd., Titusville, FL 32780 or a charity of your choice.
