Constance Lesher Eaton passed away peacefully on July 3, 2019 at Addington Place of Titusville. Connie was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on April 23, 1937 to John and Dorothy Lesher. She was one of six children. Brothers Francis and Bob and sister Dottie preceded her in death; she is survived by her oldest brother Jack, and her younger sister, Bette. Connie grew up in the Germantown area of Philadelphia, where she met her future husband, Bill, when they were teenagers. The high school sweethearts married in 1960 and shared 31 years of marriage, until his passing in 1991. Connie and Bill raised four children--David (Maureen), Mark (Jill), Kelly (Dave Pedersen), and Scott (Lil). Because of his work, their family lived in a variety of states, including Pennsylvania, Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, New Jersey, and Florida. They leave a legacy of 11 grandchildren and 10 (so far) great-grandchildren. Connie cherished her family, her friends, and her faith. She demonstrated how to boldly live a life full of fun, travel, food and competitive Rummikub! She loved to be outside, especially at the beach. She was famous for her scone bread, her iced graham crackers, and her eclectic birthday and Christmas gifts. She kept alive the lost art of letter writing, regularly sending cards and notes with pictures or recipes or comic strip clippings. She loved books, and she enjoyed sharing stories--stories from the pages of the novels she was reading, the lives of her family and friends, and even the lives of strangers she met. She was the centerpiece of our family and knew everything that was going on with everyone. She loved so closely from far away. Connie spent the last three decades living in Tarpon Springs, in a home overlooking the water, with spectacular views of the sunrise. She moved to Titusville in September, where the staff and residents of Addington Place welcomed her as part of the family. In her last weeks, she received the kindness and comfort of the Hospice of St. Francis team. In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made payable to Hospice of St. Francis, through their web site: https://www.hosffoundation.org/donate in Connie’s honor. Connie loved fiercely all of her family and friends. We have been so blessed to have her as the example in our lives and hope to honor her legacy by aspiring to be as loving and gracious as she was. Her's was a life well lived!
